Wednesday Disc Golf Bag Tag Challenge |
|
Bag Tag's are handed out for free to registered disc golfers attending Wednesday disc golf bag tag challenges starting 2/10/2k10. There will only be 25 Bag Tags handed out for every 6 month period, the lowest 5 bag tags on 8/10/2k10 will receive a prize sponsored by Disc Golf Depot (to be determined).
Wednesday Disc Golf Bag Tag Challenges meet up every Wednesday at Park Place Coffee Shop at 10am. Anyone is free to join us for Wednesday Disc Golf, even if you do not have a bag-tag.
*New appendage to rules - Due to the limited amount of bag tags, if a new member joins after all the bag tags have been handed out, they can win the groups highest number bag tag if they win the round.
Only registered members of Acerbinky Disc Golf Club will be eligible for prizes. |

The Goal Your goal is to have the lowest numbered Bag Tag possible and have fun along the way.
Rules of Engagement 1. Members who “posses a current Bag Tag in hand” may issue/schedule/participate in challenge(s). 2. Any member with a higher Bag Tag number may challenge any player with a lower Bag Tag number to a round of disc golf. 3. Members cannot avoid challenges by leaving the Bag Tag at home or by concealing your Bag Tag (see forfeiture). 4. The player receiving the challenge can choose the course to be played AND must make a “fair and reasonable” effort to be available within 2 weeks. 5. Once the challenge has been agreed upon, any changes must be agreed upon otherwise a forfeiture may occur. 6. If the challenger has the lowest score for the round, the tags must be exchanged immediately following the round.
Additional updates since expansion to 100 tags.
There is now an evening 5pm sign up at Rockwood park when the day group gets back. There will be a $2 buy in & have to play on the spot. The $2 from evening sign ups goes to the ace pool during Wednesday's 1st matches.
Definitions
BagTag Colors - For the 1st round of disc golf during a Wednesday challenge players group onto score cards according to colors. If there are 5 or less of one color they can group onto another card with the next closest color group up or down. All players on that would have to agree in the beginning of round & the tags are treated as a scorecard shuffle.
Wild Card Tag - Wild cards can be used for 2 things: A) Dollar or Disk trade B)Mulligan on 18 hole course. Wildcard acts as highest number in round & is exchanged that way. Anyone carrying a Wild card During & at the end of the tournament (8/18/2k10) will be ineligible for prizes.
Sponsor Tag - A person(s) carrying this tag is a sponsor and is obligated to give a prize if he or she looses in a 1 on 1 challenge.
WhiteBagTag - This tag is given to volunteers for the bagtag challenge, since they are a go between and often are unable to complete a full round, they have the ability to come & go during rounds. They are also involved with supplying refreshments, photography & tracking of scores.
Forfeiture - If you walk away from a challenge that has not completed, you automatically take the lowest tag in that challenge. You are required to exchange for the lower tag in group before leaving, otherwise you take the lowest tag in existence (other than wild card).
Though the bag tag challenge is open to all to join there is a suggested age of 18 & older. There are several reason for this, but the main reason is due to the fact that we run our tournaments on Wednesday during school hours & we do want want to be responsible for kids missing school. There can always be exceptions & there is a permission slip in place for such occasions.
This bag tag season ending 8/15/2010. Bag Tags can be transfered to another player in special circumstances. Please contact Chadwick in these cases.
